[Market Watch] Why a Google browser?
I don’t mind trying a new browser, but I will pass Chrome because of EULA just what I did to cyworld.
“Google Inc.’s new Chrome browser is not welcome by the developers or the computer-using public at large. “
“This means developers have to make tweaks in their products to accommodate the idiosyncrasies in each of them. Developers do not need a fifth product that adds other twists to Web pages.”
“This is all the more odd when the original EULA (the terms of use license) is read carefully. It essentially says that anything you do with the browser is Google property. If you use it to load Google Docs and write a book, then the book belongs to Google.
It’s hard to imagine that the company thinks it could get away with what is an apparent scam to steal content. Some jokingly suggest it might have been a clever attempt to trick Viacom Inc. into doing something stupid (like use the browser) to lose some of its rights.”
What do yo think?
